Just like a mermaid who once traded her voice for legs, I’ve learned to live between two worlds — the land and the sea, the East and the West. My life flows between cultures and currents, shaped by both the poetic traditions of Turkey and the expressive freedom of California.
I create art to listen to what water remembers — stories of transformation, identity, and the beauty of being in between. Through painting, sculpture, ceramics, reliefs, photography, and mixed media, I explore how fluid identity moves across bodies, borders, and time.
Each piece begins as a ripple — a memory, a dream, a breath. Sometimes it takes the form of a jellyfish in a tailored suit, sometimes a whisper of clay meeting water. What connects them all is a longing to reveal how soft, strong, and interconnected we truly are.
My hope is that my art resonates like a wave inside you — gentle, deep, and unforgettable.
